Distractions are rampant in our society, making it nearly impossible to fully focus without consistent effort.

Technology and apps exploit our brain's love for updates, causing us to constantly check for notifications (yes, I also used to refresh my email every 5 minutes😛).

Unfortunately, responding to these distractions hinders productivity, as there is no such thing as multitasking - it simply causes our brain to switch and lose focus.

To achieve a state of flow and produce high-quality work, uninterrupted periods of 20-90 minutes are necessary. Suprisingly, very few people get to focus even for this period of time. When we multitask, it can take up to 23 minutes to regain focus after a distraction.

Focusing in our current environment is very challenging, so you will need not just tools and knowledge and not just willpower but also consistent reminders and focusing daily.

Some days will be harder than others. But all my best work has been a result of intense focus. It's the best investment you can make to be successful in your role and in life projects.

For me, I really want to complete this course and help hundreds of advocates to supercharge their important work, for good. This feels much bigger than me and the potential impact of my work is very motivating!
